Italian Produce for Chefs

For chefs who want the real thing: Fruttivendolo Service imports fresh produce from Italy every week and delivers it to kitchens in Edinburgh, Glasgow and across Scotland.

The Italian seasonal calendar

Autumn and winter: radicchio Tardivo, Castelfranco and Trevisano, catalogna, cime di rapa, cavolo nero, cardoons, fennel, Delica and Nocciola pumpkins, chestnuts, kaki, bergamot, Sicilian lemons and oranges.

Spring and summer: Romanesco and violet artichokes, broad beans, courgette flowers, friarielli and friggitelli peppers, San Marzano, datterini and heritage tomatoes, figs and stone fruit.

Exactly what arrives depends on the season and the harvest; the current list is always in Seasonal Produce and this month's selection in October Seasonal Produce.
